Peter Mezzacappa, M.D.

Peter Mezzacappa, Chairman of the Department of Radiology at CentraState Medical Center, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hunter College – The City University of New York who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. He completed his M.D. at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine (Brooklyn, NY), where he also completed a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship training in Neuroradiology.

Dr. Mezzacappa is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Monmouth County Medical Society, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the Medical Society of New Jersey. He has co-authored research that has appeared in The Lancet, Radiology, and the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography.
